How genocide, social media, Hasbara and arrogance have made Israel one of the most despised countries on earth.
The majority of people in the US, Israel’s biggest backer and ally, now disapprove of Israeli action in Gaza. Diplomatically, Israel is now internationally considered a rogue, pariah state — with the global South, and European countries like Ireland and Spain notionally supporting a Palestinian state.
The IOF’s sadistic violence in Gaza has revealed it to be less of the sophisticated, intelligence-informed machine that it pretended to be, and more of a blunt object, an assembly of reservists and settlers that think sheer brutality alone will reap reward.
Part of the US’s counter-insurgency doctrine is a principle called SWEAT-MSO: Sewage, Water, Electricity, Academics, Trash, Medical, Safety and Other.
The idea is that an army wants to avoid turning natives against them, and so they should not impact any of the essentials listed above. The IOF has made it a point to unashamedly attack every one of these elements. There is no sewage or water, no electricity or food. Every single University and library in Gaza has been flattened, innumerable academics and teachers killed. Ever hospital has been destroyed, every safe zone attacked, and famine is breaking out in the country.
