Israel’s claims about the UNRWA were not true
It’s the latest in a litany of false and shameless lies from a state that is fragile, volatile, and dangerous .
A channel 4 program has revealed that Israel provided absolutely no evidence for their claim that UNRWA was shielding Hamas fighters responsible for October 7th.
This is the latest in a litany of grotesque lies disseminated by Israel’s government, IDF and media. From the vivid and troubling accounts of beheaded babies, babies on clothes lines, and babies in microwaves, to reports of systemic rape of Israeli women by Hamas, every one of these stories has either been not proven or confirmed as false.

The timing of the allegation is also crucial and suspect, given that the accusation came a mere two days after the ICJ ruled that it was plausible Israel was committing genocide in Gaza. This implies that Israeli intelligence (which says it had this information for months) either:
- Sat on the knowledge until the opportune time to reveal it.
or
2. Fabricated it to distract from the inconvenient genocide case being levelled at Israel.
Meanwhile, governments in the US, UK, New Zealand, Australia, Germany, Finland, Japan, Switzerland, Canada, the Netherlands, and Italy, all uncritically accepted Israel’s claim as fact, and consequently suspended funding to Palestine’s most crucial aid — even as tens of thousands of civilians have died with potentially hundreds of thousands more to join them.
The magnitude of this cannot be overstated:
All of these governments are possibly complicit in genocide. Put another way, the US, UK, EU and New Zealand have all proactively helped Israel starve and kill thousands in Palestine.
This isn’t a battle between civilizations, East vs West, Democracy vs Islam. It’s a battle between the underdogs and the powerful. The Everyman and the rulers. The rich vs the poor.
